Clarity of Diamonds – what is clarity of diamonds




Diamond clarity is important factor in deciding diamonds quality or grade. It is not a difficult task to know about clarity of a diamond before you buy one. Before looking for clarity of diamonds take care of 2 simple things

-Diamonds with visual inclusions and blemishes.

- ‘Eye clean’ meaning that there are no inclusions or blemishes or can be that can be seen with the naked eye.



The clarity of diamonds does not mean how clear the diamond is. Clarity actually refers to the internal and external imperfections of the diamond.

Best diamonds with grade:-

FL = Flaw less, Or

IF = Internally Flawless



Imperfect Diamonds with grade:-

I-1 = Bad

I-2 = Worse

I-3 = Worst



Other grade for diamonds include:-



VVS1 and VVS2 = diamond is very-very slightly imperfect.

VS1 and VS2 = diamond is very slightly imperfect.

SI-1 and SI-2 = diamond is slightly imperfect.
